I discussed this paper with a number of people and if you follow me you absolutely saw me bitching about it on more than one occasion. I said I’d post it, but I haven’t yet, so I’m going to. This isn’t the final edit that I turned in, just a sort of sloppy approximation thereof**, but the final feels more than a little too polished for tumblr to me (that sounds terrible, but whatever) so don’t use this as a gage of my essay writing skills. There are sources and everything. But basically it’s about River and camp and feminism(/feminist camp) and encompasses the majority of my River feels.

**worth noting that it doesn’t have a conclusion because I hate them. Draw your own damn conclusions.

*was actually entitled “River Song, Camp Icons, & Cultural Constructions of Femininity” but I like this semi-serious title better.
